Bagua Shen Gong: Wu Family Heart-Spirit Practice
I am honored to be a student of the Wu Family Chinese Healing Arts of BaguaZhang, a form of Shen Gong, or Heart Spirit Energy Work. The birthplace of Bagua is in the mystical mountains of KunLun in Tibet. In the cosmology of this art, the teachings were transmitted through Goddess Quan Yin, who came down from the heavens on a chariot. Bagua evolved from Tibetan Bon Shamanism and is a magical dance of vortexes, played in physical poetry and woven on a circle.
In this sacred tradition, the sixty-four movements and changes of Bagua are understood symbolically as mirrors of the sixty-four archetypal patterns of existence described in the I Ching. The eight trigrams represent the primordial forces of Nature and the pathways through which life moves within the body and the world.
Together they form a living mandala of Daoist wisdom — a poetic language through which the Tao reveals itself in movement, polarity, and transformation. In this way, Bagua is held as a prayer in motion, inviting practitioners to embody harmony, presence, and the deep remembering of their place within the greater field of life.
“When the mastery of vortexes is accomplished with the oldest traditional practice, it becomes a beautiful dance of vortexes called Baguazhang, coiling and uncoiling with the Tao originating from Wu Chi.”
— Sifu Christopher Lee Matsuo, Dragon Gate Sanctuary
Mastery of Vortexes
You are invited to enter the Dragon Gate — a sacred threshold where heart and mind come into harmony through movement, breath, and devotion.
Bagua Shen Gong is a rare lineage art of internal alchemy — a living practice of heart-spirit cultivation for those who sense there is a deeper way to move through the world.
Within this ancient shamanic practice, teachings are shared through story, symbol, and embodied prayer, inviting remembrance of the subtle forces that move through the human spirit.
Through circular walking, meditative movement, and sacred geometry, practitioners are welcomed into resonance with the rhythms of Heaven and Earth.
In this way, the body becomes a living vessel of transformation, where shadow and light are held in reverence and gently offered back to the greater field of harmony.
Private sessions are 90 minutes and are offered as a personal transmission. This is a lineage practice that asks for weekly devotion.
Sessions are available in person in Eugene, Oregon, or online via Zoom.
The Investment
The investment for the 3-month immersion is $1,500, payable in full or as three monthly payments of $525.
A $97 Discovery Session is the first step. This fee is credited in full toward your immersion if you choose to enroll.
This practice is for you if you are genuinely called to an embodied path of internal alchemy and willing to show up weekly with presence and commitment.
It is not a substitute for psychotherapy or clinical care, and is not offered as such — though it can be a profound complement to any inner work you are already doing.
My studies in Depth Psychology are woven into how I hold this transmission, bringing an awareness of the archetypal and symbolic dimensions that move through the art naturally.
Let us spiral together
The first step is a Discovery Session — 90 minutes to explore the art, ask anything, and discern together whether this is the right moment for you to enter.
The Discovery Session investment is $97, credited in full toward your immersion if you choose to enroll.
The Discovery Session is a complete 90-minute transmission in itself. At the close of our session we will discuss together whether the 3-month immersion is the right next step for both of us. Enrollment is by mutual agreement
